History.

Supplied by Mercedes Benz of Milton Keynes to it's first owner on 1st March 2002, bought as a present for his Wife who shortly after purchase was rarely able to use it. It remained however in their ownership and was only brought out of the garage on fine sunny days. It was never driven in the rain or even left outside if there was a chance it looked like rain. So much so for it's annual Mot if it was wet the booking was cancelled and rescheduled for another day. After 18 years of ownership and with a house move pending it was decided with some reluctance to part ways. We were given the task of finding her a new good home with strict instructions about not getting her wet. So with just 3502 miles now on the clock we sold her to good customers of ours with the conditions made clear, and to their credit they have done exactly that. Mot bookings cancelled with any sign of inclement weather pending, only driven on sunny days and always garaged and never left out in the rain. Fast forward 5 years and with reluctance due to another house move looming, we have been given the pleasure of offering her for sale again.

The Car.

Wow, what can I say. If you want a first generation Mercedes SLK in as new condition as you are likely to find then this is it. In what is undoubtedly the best colour combination of Amber Red Metallic with Quartz and Anthracite Leather interior she is absolutely stunning, she's never had any paintwork or restoration repair, she is as original as you can get. Still on her original matching Michelin Primacy Tyres, the 5 spoke alloy wheels are unmarked and are still sporting the correct factory fit wheel weights. The electric operated hard top roof opens effortlessly and the doors shut with a reassuring thunk. Under the Bonnet the Engine is impeccably clean with the whole engine bay beautifully presented. She starts with the first turn of the key and ticks over quietly and smoothly. On test drive she drove beautifully.
